Contributions to Congregation Mishkan Israel support a variety of charitable causes. It is a special way to honor or memorialize a loved one as well as to mark important events in the lives of family and friends. To make your donation, click here for a contribution form.

Here is a list of funds and a description of their purpose:

Jay Bovilsky Memorial Scholarship Fund – Provides scholarships to enable religious education for students in Religious School whose families cannot afford full tuition

Isaac & Harriet Breslav Library Fund -- Restricted fund for the purchase of books for the children's library.

Isaac & Harriet Breslav Music Fund -- Restricted fund to cover costs of music.

Rabbi Brockman's Discretionary Fund -- Supports charitable organizations or needs of individuals both within and outside the congregation as determined at the sole discretion of the Rabbi.

Building Fund -- Helps defray costs of ongoing upkeep of building and grounds.

Cemetery Fund -- Supports upkeep of Mishkan Israel cemetery, including capital improvements to its Chapel and grounds.

Carl & Pauline Dektor Library Fund -- Restricted fund for the purchase of books for the children's library.

Duhan Library Fund -- Restricted fund to purchase books for the library.

Arthur & Yvette L. Eder Fund -- Restricted fund for the general purposes of the Congregation.

EIE Program Fund – Along with the Norman Gans Fund, supports students who will study in Israel over an extended period of time.

Norman Gans Fund for Scholarships in Israel -- Restricted fund for students in religious school to pursue work study in Israel.

General Fund -- Supports the daily operations of the synagogue.

Robert E. Goldburg Peace & Justice Fund -- Covers costs associated with annual Peace & Justice service.

Esther & Israel Goldstein Memorial Garden Fund -- Restricted fund to care for courtyard garden.

Gideon Greene Mitzvah Fund -- Restricted fund for mitzvah expenses.

Lester Hershman Memorial Fund -- Restricted fund for religious school activities.

Hunger Fund -- Supports local hunger related projects, including Pe'ah project.

Mabel Klebanoff Transportation Fund -- Supports the purchase and maintenance of a vehicle to provide transportation.

Simon B. Kleiner Fund -- Restricted fund to be used at the Board's discretion.

Benjamin Levine Scholarship Fund -- Restricted fund for scholarships and prizes in the Sunday School, as determined by the Rabbi.

Library Fund -- Supports purchase of books and other associated library expenses.

Links Estate -- Restricted fund for general fund purposes.

Jonathan Seth Lurier and Family Lurier Morris Art Award Fund -- Restricted fund to award children's art.

Meditation Garden -- Covers costs of planting and maintaining meditation garden in courtyard.

Bernard & Dorothy Miller Temple Restoration Fund -- Restricted fund for restoration of youth lounge.

Music Fund -- Supports expenses related to music program.

Nahum High Holy Day Music Fund -- Restricted fund to provide music for the High Holy Days annually.

Rhea Duhan Nathan Youth Scholarship Fund -- Restricted fund for scholarships, determined at the discretion of the Rabbi and Youth Committee chair.

Nursery School Fund -- Supports purchase of supplies for nursery school .

Isidor E. Offenbach Music Fund -- Restricted fund to sponsor the annual Isidor E. Offenbach Musical Service.

Prayer Book Acquisition Fund -- For purchase of new prayer books.

Rabbinic Endowment Fund -- Restricted fund to cover costs of Rabbi.

Religious School Development Fund -- Helps fund religious school expenses.

Religious School Scholarship Fund -- Provides scholarships to enable religious education for students in Religious School whose families cannot afford full tuition.

Religious School Trust Fund -- Restricted fund for scholarships, text books, books for the children's library, chanukiah, audio visual aids and holiday receptions.

Kay & Art Ross Special Library Fund -- Restricted fund for the purchase of books, new furnishings or alterations for the library, and new equipment for the library.

J. Yale Rubin Endowment Fund -- Restricted fund to reduce the budget of the Synagogue.

Schaefer Family Fund -- Restricted fund to be used at the sole discretion of the president of the Congregation.

Scheps Family Fund -- Restricted fund in support of the Rabbinic Endowment Fund.

Patti Stitzel Campership Fund -- Restricted fund for camp scholarships, determined at discretion of Youth Director.

Abraham & Helen Ullman Youth Scholarship Fund -- Restricted fund for scholarships, determined at the discretion of the Rabbi and Youth Committee chair.
